Skilling Women

With this initiative we look to create a social enterprise through which economic empowerment opportunities are provided to groups of women artisans. The initiative specifically aims at amplifying the women’s entrepreneurial skills and potential to fashion artistic handmade products. ACF's Skilling Women promotes product design, production and marketing, as well as capacity building while instituting opportunities for economically disadvantaged women.

the project authors a variety of entrancing and heartful handicrafts such as baskets, jewellery, place mats, and wall hangings. The products have intricate designs that usually take the women hours to craft and weave by hand. As our products span across the Globe they portray different aspects of different cultural heritage. Raw materials include raffia, sisal, banana fibre and bark-cloth; materials which are environmentally friendly and bio degradable.
